goddammit......

just talked to my mom about the T/A....and as i predicted, she's completely against it. She's worried about the insurance cost, as well as the money i owe my parents for various things (still owe about $1000 to them). my dad was the one who suggested the whole "new car" thing, not me. he's obviously not worried about the money i owe them, since I give them money every week to pay off the debt. He just wants me to have a car i can work on and have fun with, something that will never happen with the Saturn (which isn't worth working on, nor will it ever be fun).

I'm gonna go back to my dad, and see what he can do about this. He may be able to swing my mom's opinion, like he did when I had my Camaro.

haha good luck, but being a parent myself we have been taught to stand together...if they dont then your damaging their relationship if they do your SOL but at least they'll be doing the right thing...are they buying the car for you or are you paying for it? Either way your under their roof still so they are pulling all the strings until your not...might be time to move out if thats the case bud ;)

Your car + your insurance = you get kicked out for buying a cool car?

i'll be paying for the car, as well as the insurance. my parents won't spend a dime. my dad might help me out here and there if i need it, but my mom is totally against the idea.

if you knew anything about women or mothers specifically you wouldnt have to ask this question...basically & generally speaking women dont care too much about cars therefore they dont understand why we as men need to buy specific ones nor do they understand why we'd want to work on them when they are not broken.

exactly. like i said before, my mom considers a car merely a machine to go from point A to point B. She thinks i only want to "look cool" in a Camaro or Firebird, which is missing the point entirely.
