QQ plates

I KNOW somebody here has 'em - I was wondering what was involved cost-wise - registration, insurance, plates, etc.

edit: i went looking on the MVS site... its worse than actually going to one!

I have 'em. It's like a 6 week wait if you send in the form to them with pictures before they'll send them back. I went to the MVS in trenton (Not the actual DMV, the one around the corner from it) and I was in and out in 15 minutes. I forget the cost (38? maybe) but its a one time registration fee, forever. You renew it every few years, but no fee. The car has to be 25 years or older and you need to bring pictures of it with you. I don't remember if the DMV only needed one pic or if it needed one of each side, the engine, interior and trunk. I did that and collectors insurance all at once so its jumbled in my mind. You also dont NEED collectors insurance to have QQ plates, regular insurance is fine. Any other questions, let me know.
