trenton peeps

can someone scout a location for a photo shoot, please?

we only need a parking lot or stretch of low-use road to line the cars up. preferably with a backdrop of changing leaves.

TIA

you havent been to trenton much have you? lol

bad64chevelle 09-25-2005 11:01 PM

not trenton, but how about some places out in Mansfield, Colombus, Chesterfield, Crosswicks, Bordentown, Allentown? All are somewhat open areas

Tsar 09-25-2005 11:10 PM

Never heard of those

bad64chevelle 09-25-2005 11:13 PM

Yeah its the last place where you can buy more than a 1/2 acre lot in NJ. Most of it will be gone to developers soon, however once the leaves change and the Pumpkin patches start opening up im gonna bring the chevelle out that way and get some pics. I have been driving around on sundays looking for a good spot so once i get one ill let you know. If anyone knows please let me know!

ummm... I know Bordentown out of those.. and that's it

bad64chevelle 09-26-2005 08:55 AM

Yeah, most people have never heard of Bordentown even though its an exit on the NJTP

There are several parks in the area that would be pretty cool places to have photoshoots. I dunno how many allow cars to line up like that though...

come up with a date, i dont mind driving to the middle of jersey. even though my car isnt very photogenic

BlueFBird 09-27-2005 04:42 PM

y dont u do it by the shore again like last yr...we drove down a strip of road rite alongside the bay looked good

jims69camaro 09-28-2005 07:18 AM

yeah, i know, it was a good shoot last year. the thing is, though, is that i wanted something different. the date will most likely be october 8, sunday. funny, in that thread someone said they couldn't commit to it without knowing where it would be and in this one someone said they need a date first. shows how different people can really be, i guess.

anyways, justin, if you could contact them or at least give me the names of some of them and i will do the contacting... and if it's gonna be anywhere near ewing i expect the basement crew. i don't care if they don't all own f-bodies. :D

You could use Mercer County Park which has a lake for a backdrop. But I don't know if the leaves will be changing much by then. If they do, there are a ton of trees out there.

Thats a pretty good idea!

Mercer County Park - email sent to nlambert@mercercounty.org

http://www.mercercounty.org/parks/parks.htm

http://www.ewingtwp.net/parklisting.htm

Both of these sites have listings of local parks. Rosedale park would be nice, but I don't remember what sort of parking facilities they have for good pics. Banchoff park would also be a good place.

I will be up for a photo shoot wherever as long as the leaves are beginnig to change. I want to have some orange background to get some good pics.

ah, and since the poll showed a greater propensity for sunday, october 9, that is the date i have been using in my emails. time is up in the air, but i can't imagine getting this group together much before 2:00 p.m. suggestions for time are welcome.

we are about to get into a cold snap, this coming week. one night below 32 is all it will take to get them to start changing.

When it comes to public parks you have to be real nicce to the other people and ask them politely to park somewhere else

When the North went up to 7 lakes Drive, we encountered this problem too much, and some people were very upset to have 5 cars hogging up one tiny corner of a large parking lot! Best bet is to get up bright & early too and secure the area.

jims69camaro 09-28-2005 04:50 PM

i'm hoping since it's the off-season we won't have to ask anyone to move. i don't know how these parks are setup, but i will include a "roped off" area in my discussion with the powers-that-be.
