Took 2nd at E-Town Yesterday
 

Just felt like bragging a little. I took second place in the 1970-1990 F-Body class. The guy who beat me didn't beat me by much, but probably had $10k more into his car than I do. When I do my interior this winter and fix a few minor cosmetic things I'll be hunting for first place there next fall....unless I go to Wildwood instead.

Lots of people interested in the business as well.....all in all a good day.

Congrats man! It always feels good to be finally recognized for all the hard work. Im going to a show this sunday at Karl Meys on Rt 130 N this weekend, going to see if the Chevelle can catch any attention. Take it easy

Took 3rd last year. Moving in the right direction atleast. I also beat out the guy who took Best In Show at our show up at Island...he didn't even place yesterday.

who took best of show at the nats? was it that beat ass delaware 3rd gen with the leather seats and peeling clear coat on the back bumper?

nah, it was anthony with that gem mint 77 t/a. the one that was on the end near the bridge.

Hahah mint huh? The engine bay looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the day the car rolled off the assembly line. But at the Nats he didn't pop the hood so nobody saw.

Thanks. I am kicking around the idea of changing them to the proper IROC style for my year now that they make them in a 17" chrome version.

Hey congrats Paul! We should be hearing about a certain 65 T-bird sitting next to the Camaro next year right? :wink:

I'm hoping for next summer with the bird but we'll see. There's so much brightwork on that car that it's going to take forever to buff it all out. Paint should be done by December hopefully though. I finally sprayed the color on the engine bay saturday. It's gorgeous.....yesterday my friend was afraid to touch it because it looks so wet!

hell yeah. get those wheels. i think it will help you at shows, as they will look (eh) original. so close to original that some judges might break out a tape measure to see if they're 16s or not... :lol:

Yeah but I don't know if I want to take a loss on the wheels I have now which are also IROC wheels, just an earlier style. We'll see what happens next year.

You should have gone saturday....that was the day for racecars and modified cars. Sunday was for cars that are stock or close to it. I'm gonna hit up another show next weekend either at Rt.18 fleamarket or at RVCC.

i might have done pretty good, mines a street/strip/show car.... car is very very clean compared to most drag cars
