you can actually hear the rumble if you turn down the bass and turn up the treble on your speakers, otherwise you just hear deep nothingness

for anyone thats wondering, its 2 pioneer 12" subs, 400w nom/800w peak, dual voice coil...running in 2 ohms. amp is a soundstream 880w, and i think thats a 2.4 farad capacitor (if my memory serves me right). the box is a little small for the subs, could use an extra half a cubic foot on each side, but oh well.

camaroracer1992 09-27-2005 03:01 PM

its ashame you need a set of kicker comp vr or solobaric series subs....... you wanna hear bassss

My old system I had two JL 12" W3v2's up to a JL 500.1

I could set off any single car alarm that I wanted

that thing pounded against the firebird hatch lol

V 09-28-2005 09:33 PM

lay off the 383, lol, the motor is now back in my possesion and getting redone to be what I first built it to be. Â*

JerzLT1 09-28-2005 09:59 PM

howd you get it back?

slasherbarb 09-29-2005 01:02 PM

he bought it back...at a steal too...

V 09-29-2005 02:46 PM

yeah the current owner wasnt happy with the motor and plans on doing a 350 tpi swap instead of tuning the 383, anyways i got the heads up about it and bought the motor back and i even pulled it from the car myself, a little weird considering it was about 4 years ago that i put that motor in myself. And as of now i plan on doing a quick rebuild, bearings, rings gaskets, etc and changing the cam and intake manifold and with some fine tuning it should be at the previously planned 500 hp.
