Ram Air Hood Needs Painting

what would it cost if i:

sanded and primed it and then had you do it?

Had you do everything?

Brought it somewhere else?

From what I hear, when it comes to fiberglass the quality of the mold determines how much labor goes into it. If you got it from a notible company like Harwood, Suncoast or even ASCD, Ive heard their good with fit-ment. But if you got some cheap peice, it may take alot of work to fill in cracks, prepped & just get it fitted right.

leave it in the gelcoat...cuz if it looks like carbon fiber it MUST be fast!!!! [waits for james]

Looks good, look around LS1Tech if you got a chance and look for the sponsor US Exotics, they make hoods for late model GM's alot of people go for the WS9 hood. I think its the regular style ram air, with a raised cowl portion and heat extractors like the firehawk hood!

oh how id love to have one of those ws-9 hoods, but from what ive read theyre few and far between

I just bought a SLP hood just like that...and well now i'm returning it cause the damn thing just doesn't fit ! check to see if it fits your car first...mine had 1 inch gaps all around. and if the body shop has to do major fiberglass work and stuff its going to be more then you bought the hood for.

seems like alot of ppl have problems with the ws-9 type hoods, i guess ill stick with the ws-6 style hoods for safetys sake...
