choke issue? i dunno, but id try swapping a different carb and see if anythign changes

have you put those 4 degrees of timing back in it since you pulled them?
is ti cranking at full speed? on a big inch/high compression motor a little loss of cranking speed from a dying batt or starter can easily create a no start condition.
get thecar back to where everythign was when you started having trouble and check these things over. if you don't see any improvements give shafiroff a call and see what suggestions they have.

electric or vacuum choke? i'd bet the wire is not on the electric choke or the hose is not connected to the vaccum port. sounds like a decent setup. good luck with her.

it has no choke at all. i dont think thats the problem, but who knows. i did not put the 4 degrees back in yet. it also has a new battery and it cranks fine.

well i have no spark. i tried using another spark plug that i know is good and that didnt work. tried another good plug wire and that didnt work either. i tried repalcing the coil and that didnt work. so i tested the magnetic pickup in the distributer and i got 1100 ohms. on the msd web site it says that 400-1300 ohms is acceptable. so the distributer is good. then i checked the harness from the distributer to the box and that harness is good to. this is really driving nuts. please help me out.
