the package is actual the "blue bird" package. it was not a trans am package, it was an appearance group that could be added to the espirit(base model) group. there were 3 of these packages, this blue example, a red bird, and a yellow bird.
it is a fairly rare option to find intact as it did come with the more desirable snowflake wheels that most people would repaint and put on other firebird models.
teh blue bird was the least common of teh packages with only a few thousand units total over the 3 or 4 years these option groups were offered.
that price is well above market value, i woudl look for around $2000 for a complete, numbers matchign second gen in that condition.

teh way you go through transmissions it isn't like you woudl be able to drive it very long anyway.
