94.1 WYSP, The Rock Station, is no more.

Thats right ladies and gents, starting today 94 WYSP is now 94.1 Free FM... meaning... TALK RADIO. Those god damn mother ****ers are taking every god damn staion left. Whats left now? 93.3 and 97.5... but considering 97.5 is all classic rock, that leaves us with ONE GOD DAMN CHANNEL. What the ****! These ****ing hood rat mother ****ers get all the ****ing stations they ****ing want and its not even ****ing music. **** corperate radio, **** Philly, ****... ahh **** it. Im pissed as hell... you have no idea.Â* Â* Â* Â* Â*

as of january 3rd, 2006, KROCK will also be a talk channel. 92.3 KTALK if you will. David Lee Roth is taking over for howard stern here in the NY area, adam carolla will be taking on his duties in a different region and a few others have stepped up to the plate. The program that follows howard on krock is 100% music, so julie slater is gonna get fired as a result of the format change. Booker, if he plays his cards right, will still be at krock, but might switch times. Ben harvey, dead air dave, and all the other dj's are most likely gonna get fired. Dani might stick around because she is more involved with the booker show these days.

as you can tell, I listen to krock all day  , and today this is all they were talking about. Julie Slater was on the stern show when she found out the news and started to cry. Infinity broadcasting has definitly ruined more than a handfull of people's lives today :(

Who cares, your damn antenna isn't even plugged into the radio correctly.

NJSPEEDER 10-25-2005 07:23 PM

there is only one radio staion in teh philly area that i can listen to any time of day. 95.7 WBEN, Ben FM.
they play a wide variety of music, not always a good thing, but it beats the hell otu of stupid talk shows all morning and stations that only play 25-20 songs all day.

later

I usually listen to 101.1 (B101) when I'm in the area...while it doesn't play rock, it still plays a good variety of songs, and you rarely hear the same song within a work day.

Up here I have PLJ (95.5) that I mostly listen to. Plays a good variety as well, and I like the talk in the morning.

camaro2you 10-25-2005 07:47 PM

well lets just hope wmmr doesnt **** out on us.

I heard about that on howard today, i diddnt believe it....

Brando56894 10-25-2005 08:05 PM

thats ********, when im back home what i always listened to was 93.3 94.1 100.7 100.3 and 102.1, so that leaves as the good rock stations 93.3 and 100.7, that blows that krock is gonna change too, granted i dont listen to the radio that much up here, but its an awesome station.

this ****ing pisses me off, so now (at least my area) has no oldies station, and will have NO modern rock station... what's next??? if Q104 goes then I'll be pissed at having to buy satellite (how the hell do you spell that lol) or having ONLY cd's.

1) you spelled satellite right ....
2)satellite is worth it in my opinion. I never listen to FM radio anymore ....

Savage_Messiah 10-25-2005 08:38 PM

Sirius or XM?

BigAls87Z28 10-25-2005 08:44 PM

XM is cheaper and has more stations. XM = Win

Savage_Messiah 10-25-2005 09:03 PM

same exact price for both, I was just looking

Savage_Messiah 10-25-2005 09:04 PM

plus I hear that Sirius gets better reception

Say it aint so!

Dammit, anyway I found a new station 105.9 Radio La Kalle Regeton

NLinnear 10-25-2005 09:38 PM

I tried XM and didn't like the rock stations. The best bet is to get a car audio system that plays mp3s. You'll have the ability to have more songs at your fingertips that any station will play.

I only know people that have sirius and they all love it. sounds good too. PLUS, if your into this kinda thing, howard stern has 2 stations on sirius. one is for him, the other is a news channel. and if you think of it in the long run, stern will bring a ton of new users to sirius and that will allow sirius to make their service better. just some food for thought.

Fastbird 10-25-2005 09:49 PM

I just learned of this today on the way home from work. Two guys doing nothing but yacking in 94.1, but it was flipping hilarious!

But that's junk. WTF is all the anti-rock ****e going on here now??

I think there's a Ocean County station....98.5 or something like that. Some friends in Medford get it and it's got a pretty decent rock rotation.

KROCK though.......that's just unbelievable. That's probably the best rock station I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
