350 tpi

Ok so within the next month i hope to buy a 350 TPI but its from a 90 or 91 camaro, i have an 88 iroc, i know theres a lot of differences, can i just put my ram air box, hoses, and MAF sensor on their like it was a MAF car or do deletions need to be made to the computer and such ?

you can jsut drop your intake back on, plug in all you stock sensors and wiring and go pretty much. all you really need to swap over is teh long block itself, the rest of your stock TPI stuff you just put right back on there.
while everything is apart throwing on the later injectors would be a good idea since they are likely lower mileage.

You can just use the MAF instead of the MAP....everything else is pretty much the same.

If your car is a 305 car, don't forget the larger injectors from the other motor, and you'll need a new chip. the '91 ECM won't work without wiring changes, and the stock 305 chip programming won't support 350 injectors.

actually you cannot use the same intake. 88 had the 9th cold start injector. 90 and up L98s do not.

Just buy the plug for the 9th injector and have someone tune it out of your chip....not that big of an obstacle really.

your better off swapping your entire current tpi setup onto the newer motor, there are quite a bit of differences. i would explain it all now, but i dont feel like typing it all. fuel rail, runners, throttle body, upper plenums, distributors, ecms, map/maf...

we you decide to do the swap let me cause you know where to get the work done at ;).
