whats a girl good "girl car"

my cousin is looking to buy a another car, something pretty new. she is looking to spend 20,000 tops. all i really know is shes looking for a two door. she did like the rx-8, but got talked out of it by a dealer. she said it was too high maintainence. (supposedly have to check oil often, and let warm up sufficiently before driveing). any suggestions? of course she is looking for newest car, the most reasonably priced, and low miles. what do you think?

Tsar 11-22-2005 04:41 PM

um..used 350z, g35, s2000?

trashman01 11-22-2005 04:43 PM

2000+ celica GTS its a toyota nuff said.

ar0ck 11-22-2005 04:46 PM

Celica's are good, Eclipses, Integras, RSX's. Mostly alot of 2 Door Imports are pretty decent.

Squirrel 11-22-2005 05:24 PM

every girl in the world owns a mk4 jetta, so...go go oggogoo....vr6's are cool, modded 1.8t's are cooler....2.0's = teh suxor

sikbyrd350 11-22-2005 05:33 PM

biggsj84 11-22-2005 08:48 PM

BonzoHansen 11-22-2005 09:43 PM

cute girls seem to drive VWs.
Chubbies drive eclipses.
Girls with jobs drive civics

Go ahead, start paying attention and tell me I am wrong.

not a single mention of an american car...

for 20k, she could be all over an f-body. hell, she might even be able to find a classic for around 20k. most assuredly she could find a 2002 for 20k.

Koll 11-22-2005 10:45 PM

Rotarys eat up oil and apex's quick

even the rennesis? I know the wankel design did, but I thought the new one was better.

jola 11-22-2005 10:56 PM

almost every mid/late 90's mustang i see is driven by a chick. if not that, i'd say eclipse or celica.

98% correct. I've seen some BEAUTIFUL girls driving cars others than the ones listed. :)

She could find a low mileage LS1 for that kinda money. granted, not a 20K mile 2002 SS or WS.6, but still. cavalier, cobalt, grand prix, malibu, grand am, sebring sedan, used SRT-4, regular neon, PT Cruiser, escort, mustang, a slightly used explorer, a used blazer. basically, for the amount of money she is willing to spend, she has a TON of options.

bitchincamaro 11-22-2005 11:32 PM

she wants sporty two door, full interior, not just front seats, car. (i suggested a 350z and a s2000) she will be looking into a rsx next week. but seems to be disgusted with buying a new car right now. she doesnt want a civic, doesnt like the hatch on a gti. said she doesnt want an american car. i did my part trying to help, and appreciate all of your opinions too. its on her. she would buy brand new but just graduated and school bills are crazy.

Tsar 11-22-2005 11:34 PM

2g awd dsm? u didnt mention that it should be reliable so its all good.

BigAls87Z28 11-23-2005 01:14 AM

G6 Coupe
Cobalt SS coupe they make it in a 2.4 non supercharged. 17's are stylish, and no gauty wing and under 20k. SS S/C' is a touch over 20, but maybe look for a slightly used one, but with the red tag sale and other incentives, under 20k for a Cobalt is no problem.
used GTO
if she can get on the list, a Solstice

Brando56894 11-23-2005 01:36 AM

id say a celica or a new new tiburon, they look pretty nice. girls seem to like mustangs tooo, no matter how crappy they are... *cough* JM *cough*

slasherbarb 11-23-2005 07:05 AM

a lot of girls i know seem to drive Lexus IS300s...seem to be huge among girls in northeren NJ...and then you got the ones with an RSX, Tiburon, or Jetta/Passat...i have seem a few with Mustangs, but they are usually the six bangers, so they're crap...

did she say why? basically, for the money she wants to spend, she's got great choices in american cars that are all reliable - moreso than the foreign counterparts, and much better styling, if you ask me. all of the imports tend to look the same to me.

this one's real close: http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...hreadid=310323 at a listed $21k. if negotiated, i am sure he would drop a bit to be in her range.

bitchincamaro 11-23-2005 08:58 AM

its people putting stories in her head about american cars. that camaro is sweet. but she cant drive stick. and wont want the 8 cyl. (does a lot of driving). i'll reccomend a cobalt see what she says. any word on reliability or problems? the tiberons dont look to bad, but there is something about a hyundai i am uneasy with. i'll show her a few celicas too. i'll show her that camaro and a gto, too just in case she likes it.
