its broke no idea what wrong apple said 800 to fix it ill sell it for 30$ its 1 year old retail for 2300 512 ram dvd rw its the top of the line 12inch power book g4

yep 30$ i have no use for it im nto paying to have it fixed and i never really used it its been sittign for 2 montsh so 30bucks takes it plus shipping unless you wanan come pick it up,(why your hear maybe you'd wanna take my 2nd gen off my hands to)

What is it doing that made you think it's broken?

first my internet started to be crazy slow and freeze, then it start to get worse liek i turn it on it runs for liek minutes n then freezes......about a month before it started to act up it fell off my bed 2 times and there is a small dent pushign outward on the right hand ride of it right above the cd drive maybe somethign happend by the dent i have no idea also there are 2 keys missing

ill take that for $30 and ill come pick it up, if justin doesnt take it, that is.

what was wrong with it?

It's missing the D and G keys, and it's got some scratches and a dent near the drive. I just wiped the drive and installed OS X 10.4, and so far so good....

What was the prognosis anyway? Why the hell would it cost $800 to fix? Is the chip/board/hardware bad? I couldnt imagine spending $800 for one little nick nack. Good job tho. I sold my laptop for $300 :-D

Yup, still working great. I already ordered another stick of RAM for it (1GB stick to go along with the 256 MB that it came with) and I'm looking for a cheap keyboard on ebay.

It was acting a bit slugish when I got it, but Garrett wiped the hard drive and installed OS X 10.4 for me (since it's been ages since I've played with a Mac). It runs much better now.
