An FYI about decible checks
http://www.magnaflow.com/05news/news/ticket.asp
Thursday, July 24, 2003 Sound Violations A new law (27150.2 VC) has been passed that does not require police to use a sound meter to test for excessive noise. A citation is now based upon the police officers judgment. Cited violators may have testing done at a smog referee station. All of our Cat-Back Exhaust Systems comply with the 95 decibel limit, with the exception of the Magnapacks. Our products are designed and tested to meet legal sound level limits; however, when used in conjunction with other products (such as air intake systems or exhaust headers), the overall combined effect might cause particular vehicles to exceed the allowable limits. |

Im telling you, one more reason to leave this state. And I was going to run a straight pipe this summer. I'll probably do it for a few weekends during the big car shows/cruises. Thats crap in my opinion. I dont think I'll have trouble in my home town though. We have alot of really loud Mustangs in my town, and half of the owners are cops, or cop relatives. Their should be a mutual understanding... I hope.
