i'm going to be tackling the '87 this year. disassemble to fit a roll cage. reassemble minus the rear seat. rear firewall, fuel cell, fuel pump. rear suspension, sfc, front suspension. pull old motor out, drop 406 in. prep body for paint. it's a lot of work, but i have a lot of time on my hands. i am hoping by the end of summer to have it rolling under its own power. if you choose to help, you could naturally choose which projects you want to get involved with and what you wanted to learn, since i'll be hitting just about every area on the car at least once during the year.

p.s. i almost forgot. there is only one way to learn your way around a wrench, and that's to use it.

Ill be putting another rear in my car in about a week or two if you wanted to get a way down here and watch/help out/ learn.

V 12-14-2005 05:08 PM

yea, working on cars is only learned by.. well, working on cars... To learn about engines, get an engine..and take it apart, then rebuild it by reading up about it and talking to people who know their stuff, lol, thats how i learned, and hell, it even runs good after i put it all back together.

This winter i gotta rebuild another engine, do a 95 v6 camaro motor swap, 94 z28 suspension swap, pull the engine from my ss and drop a drivetrain in my bronco.... i'd say you could come and help/watch..but...i'm sorta an ******* to work with on my own projects. haha. plus i never really know when i'll be working on what.
