slp loudmouth?

What would you have to do put a slp loud mouth on a third gen? Is it possible and How much do you think it would cost to have an exhuast shop fab up?

I know its possible, but I dont know how much it would cost. And FWIW, I think it would sound like junk. you car doesnt have enough mods to sound really aggressive, plus its missing about 45 cubic inches

I would defenitly advise against putting a loud mouth on a bone stock 305. Boon (Mister-Juice) has a loud-mouth on his Iroc, but it is a far from stock 305 and it sounds amazing!

I'm pretty sure you could use a 93-95 LT1 Loud Mouth, since your LG4 is single cat'd I think theirs only a different pipe bend somewhere in the system. Also if Im not mistaken the Loud Mouth is just resonator mufflers, any exhaust shop could fabricate that into a system.

Im about to put a camshaft into it, and install my headers or Im gonna get a 350 and install my parts.

Do you already have an after market cat back? if you do, just get the rear section of the loudmouth (over axle).........and some hangers....it slips right on.

it's gonna be loud....

I have a 2.5 dynomax catback.. it wont have duel tips though right?

misterjuice 01-02-2006 02:56 PM

i have dual/dual tips..............you could also get the single/single...

my wifes old 305 tpi car with no muffler was actually pretty quiet...single cat if i remember correctly. So im not sure how loud just the over axle would make it.

If its a LG4, I threw some no-name brand on there (Vortex?) and a hi-flow cat and it sounded insanely loud... but it had absolutely NO power whatsoever :-D

I have dynomax now it sounds pretty cool especially when its warming up

SLP's loudmouth exhaust usually makes what would be really nice cars sound like domestic rice IMO. But on the same hand, I like loud and obnoxious not so many years ago. I am all about being stealthy now.

my friend had edelbrock TES headers ( I know...I know) into an edelbrock Y pipe into a highflow cat then out an edelbrock catback. sounded pretty good for an LG4. At least thats what I think curt was running  .

you could always go mega low budget and run glasspacks
