got my car back from dynotech

i went up and got my car today and it is unbelievable the power the car has. Eric from dynotech is excellent and he did an awesome job. You hit the gas and the car just wants to take off it really throws you back in the seat. The best way to describe it is it feels like a jet going down a run way. I can't wait to run the car this spring. Here is what i had done to the car with the rebuild:
-Pro Torque 9.5" 2800 stall lock-up torque converter
-Trans cooler
-Alto wide 2-4 band
-Raybestos 2-pak 3-4 clutch
-Transgo shift kit
-Billet 1-2 and 4th servos
-H/D sunshell

I'm also getting a full tune from Foff next week

What gears do you have? I always thought a 2800 stall was a good street/strip convertor, but see allot of debates about the 2800 convertor being too small. Could be allot of more hardcore racers too.

John the thing is with ls1's they make peak tq STOCK at 4000 rpms whereas for lt1's they make peak from 2500-3500...completely different powerbands so yes a 2800 is a small...i had a tci 3500 in mine that even on my stock car with 2.73's i wished I had gone larger...once I did my heads/cam & my peak tq moved to 5000 rpms i sure as hell wished I had gone MUCH bigger.

Well, you know our feelings on your stall speed, but regardless I'm glad you're happy with it. It should still make a nice difference in the way the car leaves at the track.
