Woohoo, tax return time!

Gotta love getting more back than you expected. Actually, it's almost double what I thought I would be getting. I'm always glad when I don't owe!

already got mine......

BigAls87Z28 03-04-2006 11:47 AM

I think that Im gunna do it tomorrow night. Whatever I get is going to pay off whatever I have on my credit cards.

ShitOnWheels 03-04-2006 02:05 PM

The accountant is still workin on mine. I had W2s from 4 jobs, one of which was in Philly which charges a city wage tax, which can be deducted from NJ state tax, plus I"m paying for my graduate education so he's trying to deduct that...a lot more difficult than if I just did it myself like I did last year...he's had the info since Feb 18th. Should be done in a couple weeks.

Gotta do mine too

misterjuice 03-04-2006 02:20 PM

i gotta frikkin pay like 125 bucks........DERR

ar0ck 03-04-2006 03:29 PM

I haven't gotten mine back and I sent it out earlier last month. I got my state tax return and that was peanuts!

JW 03-04-2006 04:20 PM

I did mine on Turbo Tax... took a mere 4 mins...

JW :D

BigAls87Z28 03-04-2006 04:26 PM

i was thinking of getting a turbo tax system. We have an HR Block, but they still charge pretty good even with all the discounts they give us. My only problem is doing my taxes with a software program is the ability to download new tax codes or stuff like that.

ShitOnWheels 03-04-2006 05:23 PM

I did mine on turbo tax online last year. Both state and federal. Fed was free with direct deposit, state cost money I think. It was real easy, even with 4 W2s.

JW 03-04-2006 06:03 PM

Yea it is really easy it basically walks u through the entire process.... "whats in box #4..." fill in info lol yea it saves time & money which is good.

If you paid out any federal taxes, and made less than like 10k a year, you get all taxes paid out back.

returns are always nice, big ones are better

got my state back...Flowmaster CB, SLP FlowPac, GRS 255 Pump, Fast Toys MAF ends, ZR-1s...

the fed....and a little squeeze from the pension got the car to put it on

deadtrend1 03-05-2006 08:43 AM

I got my federal back, and im just waiting on the state. I always just have them direct deposit it.

Id be buying my tq arm, LCAs panhard bar, and shocks, but Im a little afraid to spend the money just yet. Threat of a union strike at my work will seem to hinder any forward progress with cash.

With interest rates as low as they are it isn't that big of a deal. Especially since they get the money on a rolling basis. I'd rather be getting a return then owing them since I never have any money(as long as the 69 Z28 restoration is still in progress).

True, but I still don't like it. :)

Dark_Knight7096 03-05-2006 08:07 PM

I'm not getting too much back, but hey, this is the first time in 3 years i don't owe so it's a good thing. I'm gonna get a set of PEMs, exhaust, and a 3.4" pulley with my check.

ShitOnWheels 03-05-2006 09:14 PM

Getting $1200 back from the feds.

Ian 03-05-2006 10:26 PM
