see the dents on the drivers side? front fender..gas tank thing..my rear bumpers are messed up..door rubs..mad scratches..cant wait to nite shade the tail lights...but on the bottle it says for offroad use only..what gives?

GP99GT 03-10-2006 04:49 PM

you arent supposed to obstruct light from your tail lights....its illegal. not DOT approved.

ive been pulled over 3 times with my tails tinted and havent had a word said about them...but all 3 times was also at night so they couldnt really tell theyre black anyway.

The company uses that "for offroad only" line to protect themselves from being sued. If the Police pull ya over and ticket ya, it is all of yer own doing by using the product, not the companies liability.

And then the peasants danced!

WayFast84 03-10-2006 05:19 PM

so translucent means you can see throuh them??? Hmmm who wants to nite shade my tail lights for me..Ill screw up

The wheels look great, though kinda out of place on an early third gen. Any plans for ground effects?

oh one ls1 SS 03-11-2006 09:33 PM

buy a wing next..car deff needs one

Firebirdgm2000 03-11-2006 11:28 PM

watch out with that night shade... dont overspray use very very lightly even if you have to do 8 very lights coats of spray or it will look like crap

Thank's, Im gonna find a nother rim with the slits..then Im going to have the curb rash fixed and the wheels painted black, with chrome lugs and center caps. I was going to get ground effects..but I really dont want them now, I dont know why..I dont think Id get a spoiler, How ever I would like to get a ram air 2 hood and some silver striping. Once I can get my parts installed..and my nitrous comes in,I am going to tackle the headline, then the plastics, then I will be looking for new bumpers and then have the bumpers, and ram air hood painted as well as alot of spot painting(:| )..Basically it all revolves on when I get my parts installed(because I wont have to worry about possibly paying some one to install them)

I've had the blackouts on the rear of my car for a while and never a problem, thank God, I also niteshade' the third brake lights, very clean look. You don't need that many coats with it either.

IMO... get a 85-90 formula/firebird rear bumper and a 85-90 or 91-92 formula front bumper, the 91-92 nose looks the best with any ram air 3rd gen bird hood due to its rounded lines. I'd also get the fiberglass 91-92 TA/formula wrap around wing.

Savage_Messiah 03-12-2006 05:55 PM

A spoiler would do wonders in the looks department IMO, it's too barren and plain without it

WayFast84 03-12-2006 05:57 PM

I can go both ways on the spoiler isue but almost every third gen trans am I see has a spoiler, Now If I were to get a spoiler It would be a 4th gen one IMO they look sick on thirdgens

Savage_Messiah 03-12-2006 06:07 PM

Pics of said combination?

thats too much IMO, i still say the 91-92 style wrap around version.

WayFast84 03-12-2006 06:45 PM

Im seriously thinking about the bumpers how ever they cost so freaking much!! like 1 grand brand new i think

V 03-12-2006 06:48 PM

dont buy bumper brand new, get good used oem ones, the rear formula version one you can find for under 50 bucks and the front, 85-90 for like 75, and 91-92 like 150. thats used in great shape. heres the spoiler id recommend, sorry tis a poor pic, but this is a new aftermarket version, oem ones can be bought for about 150-250.

that wing doesnt look to bad..but i wouldnt do it

Tru2Chevy 03-13-2006 11:07 AM

I like the 4th gen wing with 91-92 banshee nose and a RA I or turbo bulge hood.

best way to do nightshades is to take the tail lights apart and coat them from the inside. you get the effect you are after and no residue on the outside for cops to give you **** about "painting" over your tail lights.

teh 91-92 formula spoiler that paul pointed out is a good looking piece. flows with the lines of a non-gfx car very well.

camaroracer1992 03-13-2006 02:04 PM

you need some strobe lights on that jawny!!
