V 03-12-2006 07:12 PM

congrats, good luck with it, but what are your plans for the 86?..all that work you put into it.

BTW, youll love the 4th gen so much more than a 3rd gen but theres still something about a 3rd gen youll miss.

enRo 03-12-2006 07:28 PM

Its in the Electrical section. I think its in the second page... just ctrl-f "smokingss" and keep searching till u see the thread :-D

V 03-12-2006 07:35 PM

http://www.xse.com/leres/ss/drl.html

i didnt solder anything, i just jumped a wire between the two terminals outside the connector, and even put a toggle swithc tucked up under the dash so i could reactivate it if desired. i did that when i had my car like 3 months and 4 1/2 years later, i never had any problems with it.

Savage_Messiah 03-12-2006 08:05 PM

I didn't know you did a toggle switch, NOW I'm finally interested in that mod.

Nice 98.... I wish I had two cars when I was 14 lol

Frosty 03-12-2006 09:51 PM

Congrats on the purchase. :)

Also, I disable the auto headlights in the first few weeks of owning my car. I kept the DRL's though.

oh one ls1 SS 03-12-2006 10:04 PM

congrats and nice car man..i almost got that EXACT car back in 2001 when i was 18 but ya no..dad said the car was to fast

79CamaroDiva 03-12-2006 10:14 PM

ok, so is this one of your parents cars and they're gonna drive it til you get your license? or is the car gonna sit for 3 years? It's a gorgeous car, but i don't get this whole having 2 cars at 14 that already run. Usually if you get a car young it gets worked on until its drivable. Just wondering.
