possible 350 swap

well with the camaro still dead i think this is a perfect excuse to have my mechanic put my 350 in the car. im going to use it for a daily driver and i have a brand new trans and rear so id like to keep it fuel injected with the TPI. my mechanic was urging me to go to a carb and ditch the computer all together but id rather keep it, i think all i need is a early head style TPI manifold base cuz the motors got the perimeter bolts on the valve covers.

i want to do the following to it
-keep TPI
-ditch the A/C
-keep the serp system
-.....

what else? watta you guys think??

Im going over to a 350 with in the next month and my 87 is already carbed and im keeping it that way. Do whatever you want but yes ditch that a/c. I'd like TPI but im just ganna keep it simple.

Any idea what year the heads are from? If they're really early (like pre-'76 or something) they won't have enough holes to install the serpentine belt brackets. The shop teacher at my job discovered that. Other than that, I think you'll be OK with getting the '85-'86 F-body TPI base. Also, L98 Vettes used the same base up till '91, but they don't have EGR - not sure if you need it.
