wtb v6 auto trans

in need of used v6 auto trans 87-92, dosent have to be in working order

Maybe Blueclipse will chime in here. Has a perfectly working transmission, just is leaking fluid because there is a missing bolt in the trans pan. Probably 100 bucks or so

V 03-30-2006 02:12 AM

This may not help, but i have one from a 94 3.4v6, which will also bolt up to the 2.8 and 3.1. im not sure about all the connectors and electronics though. its in running condition and im asking 100

ted gerlach 03-30-2006 05:28 AM

karr95 03-30-2006 12:23 PM

My friend Dave has a running 3.1 Liter V6 and auto trans from a 92 Camaro. They have approximately 133,000 miles on them. Asking $250 and you get the motor with all accessories including air, auto trans, wiring harness and computer.

It all must be picked up, its in Robbinsville, NJ. Email him at shara100@aol.com

I wouldn't try to stop a sale, but I don't think the '94 trans will work in a thridgen. It should bolt up fine, but it should be a 4L60e, not a 700R4/4L60.

V 03-30-2006 03:46 PM

yeah, like i said it may not work due to the electronics

project89 03-30-2006 07:13 PM

can u get me the numbers/letters off the side of the case, drivers side above the trans pan on the rail.

ted gerlach 03-31-2006 05:27 AM

it should work, and it should bolt up, but you would need to completely change harness/computer/electronics, or buy something like the bottom thing on this list:
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=17473

kind of on the pricey side.

project89 04-01-2006 01:03 PM

My friend Dave and I still have the motor and trans out of a 92 Camaro if you are interested. They are both still in the car so you can test drive to make sure they are good for you. Let me know.

Its all yours. You will be receiving an email from my friend Dave shortly. Since you live in Sayerville, we may be able to work something out where you meet us at Fudd's on Rte. 1 (& Rte. 18 ) in New Brunswick to pick up.
