!PICS! of the new rims, wheel gap ?....
got them from "funrudy" during the week. Thanks again BTW!
Quick pic of the old stockers! http://mywebpages.comcast.net/tstrel...am/rahood4.jpg And the new!!! http://mywebpages.comcast.net/tstrel...m/ws6rims1.jpg http://mywebpages.comcast.net/tstrel...m/ws6rims2.jpg http://mywebpages.comcast.net/tstrel...m/ws6rims3.jpg http://mywebpages.comcast.net/tstrel...m/ws6rims4.jpg Now, a recent IM convo with "Tsar" forced comments that my car is a 4x4 so to speak. My wheel gap is less then 2" up front, and just under 3" in the rear. Aside from the biased, lower it anyways points of views, how bad does it really look to you all? Personally I think its fine as is. |
FREAKIN SWEET! some thing about replacing wheels for stock wheels is weird and popular LOL!
|
oh yea, I also jsut spent the cash to order the brass headlight gears. Stupid GM and nylon gears!!!!

If your headlights were to go bad, "Topdown Solutions" offers a rebuild kit for like 40 bucks. I used it on my 91 when my headlight motor went bad. If you can find a good hardware store, buy 6 15/32 ball bearings (3 for each). Toss them in with some grease and never worry again. When its time to rebuild them, they will keep trying to spin for a few more seconds even thought they are up or down all the way |
you still butt hurt about that 4x4 comment i made?

Considering we live in south Jersey, home of the best worst roads in the country, I wouldnt lower it at all!

Tim, I could see you going a bit lower, but not slammed. A 1" drop would be perfect. And, do the !side molding mod too.

I like it the way it is 8-)

Looks pretty damn good, but the 1" drop with complete it... just don't go too low..
|
Pro-Kit FTW!
Give me a higher quality picture of the car on the new wheels and I could give it a quick chop. |

I've been ok so far aside from parts of 73. Tim, those rims look 10 times better than the old ones. I like it a lot. I'd lower it still. Don't listen to Rob, he's a pussy. |
i think i found a perfect trail for your 4x4
|
Tsar, if you think his wheel gap was bad you should've seen mine. When I put the bullet rims on it was worse than his. A pro-kit fixed that though. :)

i got the same gap now, and i am gonna take 1/2 inch outta the rear. I got Eibachs on my car as it is, but 255/40/17's are about .4 inch smaller in Daimeter that my last tires. BTW it looks good!
|
thanks for all the postive comments...... im on the fence with deleting the side molding, and still not 100% positive im going to lower it, although i do take all your input into consideration.
Thanks |
I personally wouldnt lower it. I think it looks great the way it sits now.
|
yeah it doesnt seem to high mine is way higher, my car looks lifted its rediculous
|
i have like 5 inches of gap in the front since i took out the front sway bar, none in the back though just got some mickey thompson et street's 26.5 inch tall fits perfect =) but i could deffinetly clear some "sick" speedbumps with the front end lol
