Will my car pass inspection?

The carbon filter thing in the bottom right of my engine bay isnt attached.... is this bad? Will it make it so that i won't pass emissions in our horribly hard to get inspected state?

if you go to a private place, they wont check that. even if you go through the state, I doubt they would check to see if its bolted down.

they dont check **** under the hood.

ya i figured they wouldnt check under the hood.... how much is that item required to pass the emission requirements though? Hooking it back up is out of the question pretty much i don't have original piping and its not the original carb so good luck me at figureing that out.

The older ones just have a vent line from the tank and a line to the intake. Not much to hook up. I think later ones might have added a solenoid to the mix, but I kind of forget.

A manual should show you the line routing. Hit your local library for the mitchell manual.

try and see worst that will happen u will fail and u can then fix it, id just remove it so even if they look they dont see it there and wont even relize its supose to be or make a dummy line from it to look like its hooked up to somethin maybe
