qwikz28 04-06-2006 08:04 PM

do not buy one from auto zone or pepboys, they both sell anchor brand.which is the biggest pos u can buy, ur best bet is to buy an energy suspension mount, or a mount directly from the dealer, every mount i bought from a parts place, i have busted within 2 weeks, the dealer mounts are **** too but atleast they last a few months, the best rubber mount by far is the energy suspension mount 20$'sfrom summit i beleive

Tsar 04-06-2006 08:23 PM

they sell energy mounts at autozones too...

project89 04-06-2006 08:46 PM

yeah they do but there cheaper from summit or jegs, if u can wait the 3 day delevery its worth it if not just get one form auto zone

qwikz28 04-06-2006 08:51 PM

actually maybe i didnt. im gonna go look for it when i get home.

i didnt even know autozone had them, i need to get rid of this poly
mount, car rides like ****.
does anyone know how much they are from the dealer?

bad64chevelle 04-07-2006 09:18 AM

the "riding like ****" goes away after a while (not completely though you still feel it) MY car went through 5 stock rubber ones before i finally went to the poly one. I dont know how many miles you have put on it but the one in my car i guess loosened up a bit and is really nice now.

Tru2Chevy 04-07-2006 12:26 PM

The general rule is that vibrations from the poly mount should lessen severely after 150ish miles, and then be mostly gone by 500 miles. There will always be some harshness with the poly mount, that's just in it's nature.

blown ta 04-07-2006 03:09 PM
