I know a Ian can Tig weld, but not sure he has one readily available. I'm sure he'll see this after work.

Mike 04-12-2006 02:20 PM

you have a stainless y-pipe? you can probably just have it miged.....oh and btw, its like 40 bucks at an exhaust shop, stop beggin for free work

not to mention if you find someone with a tig welder, thats willing to drive their eqipment to your house just to make a 30 second bead of weld, your hose electric probably wont be able to handle the current the welder will need

HardcoreZ28 04-12-2006 03:14 PM

Like I told j0n you don't want to mig it....could distort the threads. I'd tig it to be on the safe side.

project89 04-12-2006 03:45 PM

i can tig it for u also

curt86iroc 04-12-2006 04:05 PM

I dont see anywhere he said that he wants it done for free, do you? I dont think he expected it done for free either, all he was asking was for someone in the area that could possibly help him out. Obviously you have been so fortunate that you have never needed help from another human being before. I wish we were all so gifted and talented as you. Cant we just drop all the ****ing ******** and go on with our lives? If you can help the kid say so, but if all youre going to do is rag on him then please TAKE IT TO PM OR SOMEWHERE ELSE. Im so ****ing tired of this ****!!!

hey wayfast ill do it for u,if u can get the parts over to my shop in milltown

WayFast84 04-12-2006 06:05 PM

New plan, because the headers are installed, it needs to be done on the reducer(or some thin) Im not asking for free, I was calling around all day trying to see who could do it for me, and thanks jon, im getting tired of this...

project89 04-12-2006 06:08 PM

the o2 bung shoudl be installed into the collector or right after the collector i.e reducer or intermideate pipe

easy way to avoid that, screw a spark plug into it(yes, it i ssame thread) and weld it on. with the spark plug run in tight the bung cant' distort.

ghetto, but effective for those of us that can't afforrd TIG welders yet :)

project89 04-12-2006 06:40 PM

there is no problem mig welding in the bung if a u remove the sensor and b u chase the threads with a spark plug thread chaser after it cools, ive done it numerous times, though tig welding has less heat and leaves a much cleaner weld/without splater, and mig welding on stai8nless sux ass

qwikz28 04-12-2006 07:37 PM

matt if the car is registered i'll drive it to the welder for ya.

and if your gonna hijack a thread to "rag" on me then take it to pm or somewhere else, ive never said i never need help and ive never said im talented, but then again half my threads dont include me begging for work to get done on my car.......

its VERY simple, ANY exhaust shop can install an O2 Sensor bung for 40 bucks or less, and theres most likely one within 10 minutes of your house.....

oh and mufflex mig-ed the o2 bung into my pacesetter ypipe adn the threads were fine

Well then ANY of the welders AND all of the shops that were their declined being able to do it...I wasnt begging for ****, i thought people would be nice enough to help me out, apparently not.

Mike 04-12-2006 09:41 PM

what were their reasons for refusing?

WayFast84 04-12-2006 09:42 PM

I dont know, the only place I called that could do it was team rotten, but they declined because they were behind on customers bikes..

Mike 04-12-2006 09:48 PM

minekee?
midas?

BonzoHansen 04-12-2006 10:02 PM

Can't you buy reducers with 02 bungs in them already?
