slip fits?

Most people just weld in the cutout after the y-pipe and before the cat (if they still have a cat).

Most name brand cut-outs are not slip fit, they need to be butt-welded into the exhaust. I suggest you weld them into the I-pipe right before the over-axel pipes, especially if your running an E-cut out, their is a hump in the frame under the passenger side back seat that allows perfect clearance... Any exhaust place should be able to do it for $40-$60 bucks, and if they dont know what your talking about go somewhere else.

On late model F-Bodies if your still running facotory manifolds/cat there isn't enough room or straight length of pipe to place a standard cut-out (12" long). The only way is to delete the cat and replace it with the cut-out. You'll loose ground clearance, risk failing a visual, and the gains are minimal. After the cat is just as loud and still bear-able. By placing it under the passenger seat you'll keep your ground clearance, it will fit perfectly, very easy to install, and it is barely notcible from the side.
