Sorry fellas, its transmission mounted . but i thought i saw something on www.byunspeed.com that relocates it and you can still use the torque arm . i'd look into it!

yes UMI makes it now and as far as i'm concerned i hear its better then the stupid tunnel brace mount. (kasey- you are not making enough power to worry about the chassis mount TA. you are wasting your money damnit!)

It's not all about making power. It's about setting up the car to work the way it's supposed to. Chasis mount tq. arm from UMI is superior to a trans-mounted tq. arm, so it would help him. :p

yeah but the crossmember mounted TA owns all ;) you also have to remember that the chassis mounted TA was not meant for a daily driver and is actually obnoxious. i hear they have improved upon that with the crossmember mount but loads of people are complaining about the tunnel brace mounted TA

Savage_Messiah 04-23-2006 12:40 PM

Jake I have no backseats, no a/c, heat shields removed, rattles all over, do you really think something not meant for a DD and obnoxious matters to me??

what is this "third mount?"

98tadriver 04-24-2006 05:15 AM

its this thing that welds on to a rear that doesnt have a torque arm mount to begin with, and has bolt holes for a torque arm to bolt up to. www.autoweldchassis.com makes em

thats pretty cool but dont you need that for your 9inch?

98tadriver 04-24-2006 04:23 PM

I thought i did, but No, the suspension is set up pretty neat, it has mounts welded on the top of the axle tube, inline with the LCA mounts on the bottom of it. you set the pinion angle with it and it stays put. and it seriously PLANTS the tires. the back body actually jumps up a lil when you take off, but there are cables that attatch to the body to where the shocks mount. to keep it from jumping too much. it rides nice and when i get on it, wow.

heres 2 pics and a vid clip of it in action
