new edelbrock LT1/LT4 intake
in the new gm high tech performance mag this month there was an edelbrock ad that stated they were working on an rpm air gap intake for lt1's and lt4's. they had a picture and gave part numbers but i couldnt find anything about it on their website. i hope this is worth the wait since there are no aftermarket intakes on the market. no release date or other info was given.

I also saw the add but I haven't seen or heard anything about it. I remember reading on something on CZ28 along time ago about someone making a new aftermarket LT1/4 intake, but it sounded like a dead project. Who knows if this is a nice peice it could re-vamp the LT1 Market.
I would like to see some numbers with it eventually. |
yeah hopefully one of the mags will run a test. edelbrock seems to like putting out niche parts. they also have an lt1 head and cam package that one of the magazines tested out. although it is unfortunate that its a complete jip considering the whole thing only bumps you like 90 horses and it costs almost as much, if not the same amount, as other head/cam packages that give you around 150-200hp. either way, their air gap intakes are proven performers so hopefully it will hold true for this as well.

a while ago there was a guy who posted over on fbody.com that he built this lt1 intake himself. he basically just machined down a stock lt1 intake and very careful made an air gap out of it

it'd be nice to finally see an aftermarket LT1 intake on the market.
