got my car inspected today

i went to the inspection station this morning to get a collector sticker. it was no problem. i showed the lady all my paper work, she checked my mileage, and told me to drive a mile. so i show up a mile later, she goes into the office and came out with my sticker. im so happy everything went smoothly and now my 2 year old sticker is gone. now i can drive the car legally.

How do you go about getting a collector sticker? What are the stipulations for getting one, and how many miles are you allowed to drive every year? If I can get my car to pass the plug in test, this might be the next way for me to go.

heavy_chevy29 05-01-2006 04:27 PM

i think the car has to be 20 years or older. you must have collector registation and you must have collector insurance. the sticker is good for 2 years. you are allowed 3000miles for the two years.

Age doesn't matter, and I'm 99% sure that you are allowed 3,000 miles each year, not every two.
