I always wanted a Javalin SST with the 360 Go Pack.
Back even not too long ago, they were really never sought after. Now I hate how everything pre 1970 has gone up in price. I am seriously thinking about picking up a few Grand Nationals while they are cheap (6-8k) and just letting em sit in my back yard covered for 20 years. Only once in my life have I ever seen the greatest AMC vehicle ever made and it was real. The AMC Rambler Scrambler http://info.detnews.com/dn/joyrides/...69amchurst.jpg |
AMX stood for American Motors Experimental, correct? I dig 'em.

Bob, I was at the Philadelphia Modifiers Old Time Drags at Atco last sunday, and there were 4 AMXs racing (and one in the pits that didnt run). When they have the show again in the fall we will have to bring you down with us because you would have been in heaven!

Bob! hows it going? My cousin just picked up about a month ago, a 70 AMX 390 4 speed Go pack car. I helped him strip the car down, and he is going to repaint it the original color, Goldenlime, with the shadowmask. He did own a Scrambler about 4 or 5 years ago, with a built 390 and a 4 speed, that car FLEW! Sometime soon I will show up at a meet and check out your ride.
Koll, I have been thinking the same exact thing with GN's/Turbo Buicks. I am also a REALLY big fan of them, I love GN's. I think if someone offered me the right money for the SS, I would let it go and buy one. I used to own a silver T-Type (Turbo T actually), and regret letting it go. I wish they were in the 6 to 8K range, I would buy one tomorrow. A clean GN, unmolested with 50 to 70K miles, is going for at least 13 to 15K. The ones in the 6 to 8K ranges are usually rats, and need lots of work, missing stuff, rust in the doors and quarters are common. Hey, with a dollar and a dream, I coud get lucky and hit the pick 6 or Powerball, and just go buy a dozen or so. |
check out
turbobuick.com turbobuicks.com T6p.com Turbo Ts in REALLY nice shape are ~7k. Can be picked up for 4-6 GNs in REALLY nice shape are 12+. Can be picked up in nice cond. for ~7-8 |
I know who made them, I was just joshin ya! I like the AMXs. I really like the Javelins too.
