03/04 Cobra Rims

Does anyone know if someone makes these wheels, but in the bolt pattern for our cars? I have seen the Mustang Bullit style wheels for Fbodies (Frosty has them I belive) and I wanted to know if they made the 03/04's in bolt pattern for my 72. I love that style of rim, its a killer look.

WayFast84 05-15-2006 06:09 PM

I agree, I always loved those wheels!!!

turbo96z28 05-15-2006 08:33 PM

there are a few places that do. i'll try and research alittle if i can this week.

or you can just go with Torq Thrust II Classics.

BigAls87Z28 05-15-2006 08:44 PM

Nah, I love the solid sharp 5 spoke design of those rims. Probably one of the nicest looking stock rims out there. Just with they made them 5x4.75

qwikz28 05-15-2006 09:17 PM

i think C6 wheels would be easier to find and close to what your looking for

BigAls87Z28 05-15-2006 09:26 PM

Yeah, but teh spokes are too thin. I want kind of a thick spoke rim, I think it will look better on my 72.

I've seen a "half civic/half mustang" with the exact wheels your talking about... so they are out there with different bolt patterns. Civic frame and front end, mustang rear clip (what a crap combination) Did you try looking through Summit?

BigAls87Z28 05-15-2006 10:02 PM

Yeah, thats where I saw the wheels and got the idea.

Tru2Chevy 05-19-2006 02:53 PM

Those are defenitly Eagle wheels.

Al there has to be a company out there that makes them because they have Cobra R's in Chevy bolt patterns.

GP99GT 05-19-2006 05:51 PM

yeah those look like eagle 077s...everyone has them on w-bodies

Tsar 05-19-2006 05:52 PM

ahh i want black wheels....

BigAls87Z28 05-19-2006 07:10 PM

Im sure they do. I want to find the phone num of the main company that makes the wheels.

Dark_Knight7096 05-19-2006 09:46 PM

I'm lucky, mustang wheels fit on W-bodys, :finger: J/K, I can get '05 GT take off's for $525, wheels AND tires. God I love W-bodys, LOL.

4.5" != 114.3mm

Do they just barely fit on? I pretty much only pay attention to the first gen Ws, so I never knew this....

WayFast84 05-23-2006 02:41 PM

Tru2Chevy 05-23-2006 02:48 PM

They are Mustang Saleen replicas. I'm not sure the backspacing on them. I got them on eBay from a place that sells mostly mustang wheels but did have a few sets made for F-bodies.

Al, you need these for that car...

(minus the center caps!)

BigAls87Z28 05-23-2006 03:53 PM

I actualy did, but I want to move away from the TT2 style wheel. I did see a set of them for Camaros 17x8 for 450. If I was gunna do that, Id probably go with TT2 in the 2pc like UBG has on his AMX.

quasar34 05-23-2006 04:57 PM

those rims are being sold by ebay user 'topswheel' ..theyre nice and pretty cheap too. heres a link to the auction:

BigAls87Z28 05-23-2006 05:01 PM

Justin, those arent too bad, but I wanted something flat.
I was looking at thoes or C6 Z06 wheels, but I dont know if I wana be rocking 2.5 inch spacers.

BonzoHansen 05-23-2006 05:04 PM

Yo Al, how about these??

http://www.newstalgiawheel.com/listp....asp?cat=10170

You aren't buying spacers, you are buying adapeters. Plenty strong.
