My aunt has an all original 86 IROC Vert with 45k miles and she is the original owner

NJSPEEDER 05-29-2006 02:57 PM

there were companies doing conversions as early as 83. ASC was the lead and ended up creating gm's production line for the verts. the earliest cars were mostly changed into 2 seaters with large, old t-bird like, covers that went all the up to the front seats. :)

ASC did all of the verts from 89+. No factory 3rd gen vert ever.

If ASC did the 89-92 verts, then who did the 87 and 88 verts? Or was that a typo on your part?

Not entirely true, ASC started converting them in late 87 IIRC.

Tru2Chevy 06-05-2006 01:01 PM

GM was selling the Camaro 'vert in '87 and '88. I always thought ASC did those for GM too....
