Costs: $10/person or $20/car load(max 4 people, each additional person $5)


Food: The track is providing burgers, dogs, chicken, and all the little fixins :) this event is BYOB with a couple of obvious restrictions: no drinking before you are done taking passes for the evening, no driving home if you are drunk


thats right kids. for our june meet we are heading up to island dragway for some bbq and fun at the track. we will start at 4pm and stay until whenever. so get there whenever you can, just make sure you are there before dusk to take your free passes(as many runs as you can get before dusk) down the track :D

i would like to thank island dragway for supporting us and stepping in when the plans we were working on fell apart last minute.

nahh its in hacketstown (40ish minutes most likely) and i dont even know how to get there :lol:

come anyways. im gonna be driving out like an hour to get there too

i think its obvious that i'll be there.

I'm still talking the full details over with dad. We will provide food and grill, BYOB, but NO runs down the track after any alcohol. I hope i can trust you guys with that.

We will be allowing single runs down the track, number of runs is still being discussed, but unfortunately if we open up both lanes of the track we have to label it a test and tune, one lane and its not.

Any other questions, ask me or Tim.

No one knows how to bbq like NJFBOA....

If I go, will some one do a pass in my car? can i have a street adress and what not?

on a thursday at 4 in the afternoon!?!?!?! what the crap! I'll be working until 6, then go home and change and drive an hour north.I wouldnt get there until 7:30-8:00 at the earliest :evil:

Count me in it will be my first for the 79Z at the track. Coming from Vernon if anyone from the area needs a ride email me.

Consider that day being taken off for me. Ill be there without a doubt!

I think I may come up, just have to wait and see what happens and whether or not I will be moving, even though i will only be moving 7 minutes from here.

tsar, the chatterbox thing wasn't really working out very well. it just sounded like they aren't realy used to working with clubs or organizations and didn't really know how to handle us.

ian, note the end time = until whenever :D you have time to make it up there. maybe not in time to get more than 1 pass, but i am sure there will be plenty of burgers/beer/bad jokes left when you arrive.

this is the biggest response we have gotten to a meet posting in a while. i am looking forward to seeing everyone at the track.

The Chatterbox has a "home" based club the Wanderers I think that orginize the car shows there. I know they do bikes on Thursday nights and cars on Sat nite. Last year some Sat nights they had a ton of cars.
I know a coupe of guys in the club, let me know if you want me to ask them if we can be part of one of the Sat nite events up here.
