dead lean idle/off idle/cruise/wot no boost or with boost
ok now im stumped i just pulled the codes and i get code 32
32. Fault in barometric pressure sensor circuit OR Fault in exhaust gas recirculation valve diagnostic switch OR Fault in electronic vacuum regulator valve well i know that set cause since day 1 the egr valve hasnt worked and it also no longer on the car the car still idles and runs dead lean,i even tried tipping in the tps as far as i could to try to richen the motor up but that didnt work. just to dbl check the o2/af gauge i pulled one plug wire so it would have a dead miss, and sure enough the af/lights started to climb a lil bit. figure tom ill dbl check fp at work incase the fpr went bad or the fuel filter is cloged. but if its not that i cant think of anything else to check any ideas? |
Not sure, but I'll throw out a few guesses on things to check:
What are you using for a tune on the computer? You probably should start by getting the EGR function removed. Maybe the ECM is going into default mode because of the trouble code? Are you using a 2 or 3 bar map? Injector size? Are the O2s in the stock locations? If not, are the heated? I'm running LT headers and it takes longer for the O2s to get up to temp so the car runs rich for the first 2-3 minutes after going into closed loop. |
i found the problem few days later it threw a maf code and o2 rich code, what happened is my a/f ratio gauge had internally shorted.now o2 normaly reads .2-.9volts with .9 being dead rich.well my gauge was sending 1.2 volts to the o2 sensor which in turn sent that to the ecm.making the ecm think the motor was rich,so the ecm was taking away fuel even though the engine has the right amount of fuel.and that was the reason for it throwing the rich and mass air flow sensor codes

*cough* who said hey unplug the guage and check *cough* :D
