Flying Lessons at Princeton Airport

http://cgi.ebay.com/525-Value-Flying...QQcmdZViewItem

Someone graciously donated a gift certificate valued at $525 for flying lessons to the rescue group I volunteer for, NJ Boxer Rescue, so we can auction it off as a fundraiser. I thought this may be of interest, so I'm passing it along. If interested, please visit the auction page for complete info. 100% of the proceeds benefit NJBR which is a registered 501c3 tax exempt, non-profit and all volunteer organization.

What's wrong with a Cessna 152? I learned to fly with them and thought they were fine. Actually I got so used to them that I prefered them over the little Cubs.

Thats a cool gift for the auction. I really hope someone steps up and takes advantage of that while helping out the cause. Flying is a lot of fun.

Well see i like to have space when i fly, now you put two guys in there and we will be practically seating on each others lap. and the fact that is slow... They're fun to fly tho if you can land that 1675lbs (max take off weight i believe) in piss poor weather with some sweet cross wind like me then you are golden, yes im very modest  But personally i prefer c172sp or the new ones they just came out with big bright LCD monitors, which i never got to fly but my school was the first one in the country to get them
well thats as far as the single engine ones go.

Oooh, ok. Thought you were just knocking Cessna's. The 172RGs are cool, but never got more than two hours flying time with an instructor. The 152's are like the underpowered, 2 seat roadsters that are easy to fly because they are so simple. Stalls are fun to practice in them because they are so simple to deal with.

Whatever single engine they decide to use as part of the auction, I'm sure it'll be fun.

yea i wasnt really knocking on them, its just after you get used to 152 it seems so slow and sloggish, but it is a good plane to learn on i guess. I dont think i would wanna do stall on 172 as a newb those Skyhawks had plenty of power. I remember the first time i tryed to stall it after i got done with 152 - well it took some effort  until the nose finally droped (again way faster then 152) and i almost craped my pants  Fun times...

wtf i wanna go fly now
