Sears Auto. I dont know which stores are near you, but apply there. Good pay, you could make well over 12 dollars an hour, and pretty flexable hours.

shane27 06-08-2006 11:48 AM

what would i do, just like oil changes, shop cleanup and that type of stuff?

BigAls87Z28 06-08-2006 11:53 AM

Well, you could be a Service Writer, or you could be a Tech.
As a writer, you would be involved with customers, advising them on how to fix there car and let them know what they need.
As a tech, you will start off at level 1, in which you will be installing and balancing tires, oil changes, install and testing of batteries, as well as several other jobs you will be asigned. Depends on what you want to do.

Al, any chance a person can make $80k+ a year working at Sears? I gotta get away from this desk job.

Yeah... that was a serious question.

Tsar 06-08-2006 02:34 PM

**** id quit school if i get paid 80k a year in sears.

BigAls87Z28 06-08-2006 02:46 PM

Yeah, you could. Store General Managers make about 80k a year plus bonus. I know the old SGM at Staten Island made 130k a year plus bonus before he left. He was with the company for a long time, but deffinatly made a decent living.

Al, how old do you have to be to be a stage 1 person? I could prolly do that stuff now, but I know I wont be allowed to..so how old?

GP99GT 06-08-2006 04:17 PM

Tru2Chevy 06-08-2006 04:28 PM
