ignition trouble

My 350 tpi won't crank over. the battery is new, fuses are all good, and I just put in a new magnatourque starter. Could it be a relay or something in the steering column?

Could be relay or ignition switch. Are you sure you hooked up the starter correctly. I believe the small wire on the starter should see 12 volts only when the key is in the on or crank position.

won't start

I hooked up the wires the same way as on the stock starter. Both starters checked out, the gear kicked out when we hooked up the jumper cables to the starters.Electronic problems are not my bag. I'll probably have to get towed to my mechanic.
