Fuel line kinked!?

Well Today I noticed my rubber line is kinked from where it slpit to the other conector. Could that cause a car to back fire from not getting enough fuel? and then cause A fire if their are gas fuems on a intake??

Thanks,

Matt

Your fuel line splits to another connector? What line is this? This is a mechanical pump & q-jet, right?

Kinks are never good though. Except if Ray Davies is involved. Girl, you really got me now....

its a metal line coming from a mechanical fuel pump. it ruptured and I got a rubber hose and clamped both of the ends. it kinked because its to long.

kink is bad. fix it when you put the car back together.

I hope you didn't use any old rubber hose either. You did make sure that you bought something that was rated to carry fuel, right?

just replace the entire metal line with a new one...or get braided steel line (even though thats a little overboard for your car)
