Tryin to get this siding up, no shade and man its BRUTAL out there! Had to come in for a break after only two hours. I love sunny days, but what I wouldnt give for some damn cloud cover right about now. :cold:

BonzoHansen 07-14-2006 01:49 PM

I'm not working outside, but it seemed ok out today. It is going to get much worse (humid) all next week. 97* and high humid I heard for next Wed. Maybe even Jeff will turn on the AC.

Savage_Messiah 07-14-2006 01:55 PM

Yesterday was awesome, so many clouds that i thought it was gonna pour, but it didn't. Today tho... ouch.

[waits for jeff to say how he hasnt turned on the AC all year and that we're a bunch of spoiled kids, or something along those lines ]

Because you don't sweat, Casper  me and rob (dunno about bonzo) are more naturally inclined to attract heat

shane27 07-14-2006 02:32 PM

im suprised you do sweat cuz your so low to the ground , because as we all know heat rises

misterjuice 07-14-2006 02:36 PM

i sweat buckets.......................but i don't mind it.

Rob WS6 07-14-2006 02:42 PM

Its sooo hot, that I had to switch from a black Summit hat to a yellow Jegs hat... and Im a Summit guy, dont even really like Jegs.

2 more pieces and Im done this side... of course theyre the peak of the roof pieces so theyre the hardest to cut. Im gonna trim the back, slap the starter strip on and probably call it a day, or atleast wait till it cools off some.

And yeah, being a tan Italian sucks for attacting heat... but atleast I dont usually ever burn. :) It must SUCK to be black in this weather!

WayFast84 07-14-2006 02:45 PM

ehh its really hot, but its not that bad because I made 30 bucks sitting on my ass, and if I was at work id be dieing of heat exhuastion and still only make 30 bucks

Rob WS6 07-14-2006 02:47 PM

Its not that hot when your just outside... but when you start working, going up and down ladders and hammering all day, it gets to ya. Physical activitiy FTL.

misterjuice 07-14-2006 02:49 PM

I make a little over 30 bucks sitting on my ass too.......per hour.

corporate job FTW!!

No ****, Captain Obvious  Its definately a good thing I popped a vacation day today :-D

JL8Jeff 07-14-2006 03:32 PM

I had to use an extra blanket last night because it got so cool with the fan in the window! :cold: I can't wait for it to warm up so I can get rid of that extra blanket. Heck, I drove the black SS396 into work today. It doesn't get any better than sitting in a black car with a big block! They say the temp was 85 with a heat index of 103 around lunch time. And the forecast for Monday is 99 with a heat index of 103???? Hmmm, if it's 14 degrees warmer I think the heat index would be a little higher too. These weather folks crack me up.

I work at UPS as a package handler, loader, and its about 115-130 degrees in the traliers, so to me its nice outside.

Savage_Messiah 07-14-2006 05:50 PM

Yea, coem August I'm startign the same job just at fedex... need the money tho

Sphinx 07-14-2006 09:50 PM

I worked in a warehouse in this weather last year, loading furniture like 400lb desks into trailers, i know just how you guys feel when it comes to walking in one... u forget to scan a box and the you have to go check, takes about 4 minutes before the sweat takes over the glasses and u cant see. Today i was mowing the farms field.... i was trying to raise the bucket on the front end loader to block the sun.... was horrible

Frosty 07-14-2006 09:53 PM

I work in a nice air conditioned building in a nice comfy office chair reviewing body shop estimates. Weather like this really sucks.......................

I work... oh wait, I dont work. See above.

Rich189 07-14-2006 10:13 PM

the company i work for is only air conditioned in the offices..... so the matience shop just has evap coolers and fans so when some moron broke a conveyor right by the 350 degree oven i wasnt to happy the heat is literally about 125-130 degrees where i was working for 3 hours then i got outside and everyone was bitching bout the heat and i thought it was beautiful

JL8Jeff 07-15-2006 09:40 AM

It's actually not that hot yet. Monday will really kick up heat. Last night it was nice, got down to 65 and cooled the house nicely. Monday and Tuesday will be the test of how long we can hold out without the AC on. The amount of sun will determine that.

Rob WS6 07-15-2006 10:31 AM

Goin back to the grind in a few... hopefully get this done within 5-6 hours. Yay.
