low temp t-stat

im lookin to go pick up a low temp tsat for both the 305tpi and the 350tpi tomarrow. how low should i go? what is the temp on the stock ones?

Stock is 195. I run a 180 in the Monte. 160 would let it get into closed loop, but you'll get horrible gas mileage, and the performance won't be that great.

180 is perfect. Like Steve said, performance isnt that good. Plus, if you drive in the winter with a 160 tstat, good luck getting heat.

x3. I run a drilled 180 in my GTP and it's perfect for street use.
