Converter..and gears
 

What converter should I get, Im on the verge of getting a rebuilt 305 and Im trying to decide if I should get a converter and gears(new rear with posi) or get vortec heads and intake.

what rpm range are you planning to run?
what trap speed are you looking at?
how much will the car weigh at the line?
how do you plan to use the car?

i think you should sort out one thing at a time. i see in your other thread that you are looking into engine combinations still, work that out first and it will supply the answers you need to pick the proper gears and TC to get the most enjoyment out of the car.

Well Im not getting the heads cause my main goal is getting the car runing, Im gonna use my lg4 heads instead of the tbi heads.. I figure a converter should be installed when the engine is allready out right? so now would be a good time.
