of all the days to work outside...

well i happened to pick today to wire up my compressor, one of the hottest days of the summer so far. this sucks. So far i drilled a hole through my cinderblock garage wall, ran pcv conduit through that and down, now i gotta dig a 40ft, 18" deep trench around the back of my house, drop in the conduit and wiring(whole backyard is in direct sun), then go inside a lower crawl space run the wiring inside, then 35' through my basement across the ceiling to the main box... ugh right now my shirt is already soaked, eh at least i'll loose a few pounds today, haha. i'll post pics of the job later maybe

Savage_Messiah 08-01-2006 11:59 AM

Damn man, this weather is insane. All I did was clean my garage and jockey the cars around, and I'm boiling. Can't wait to work in the store later; back room is 100+, and the coolers are a nice chilly 40. That's a helluva temperature change when you're sweating!

LuvMyF8LWS6 08-01-2006 02:00 PM

The AC broke at my office, and our windows don't open! People have been getting sick (nice smell now in the air), and for some reason, all the top management isn't here...

WayFast84 08-01-2006 02:17 PM

yep its hot as hell, no ac her so I took like 4 showers today, drove the dirtbike and now im sipping ice tea its good I dont gotta work this week

bad64chevelle 08-01-2006 02:27 PM

I have been working on an addition to the new house since 7am. I just stopped at 3 cause I couldnt take it anymore, Ill be back out there 7am tomorrow to try again. Atleast were almost ready to sheetrock so we can toss the AC unit in and cool it off in there.

V 08-01-2006 02:30 PM

its brutal is the sun, i got about 25 feet of the wire and conduit run, another 15-20 to go, but i need to pick up another section of conduit at lowes now, denali A/C FTW. Then back to the suana of a backyard to finish it up outside, i checked in the crawlspace and celler and its like 70 only in there SWEET, lol.

WayFast84 08-01-2006 02:31 PM

im gonna go to my base ment till summers over later guys!!

12secondv6 08-01-2006 02:33 PM

baddest434 08-01-2006 02:35 PM

i work in a greenhouse when i'm not on the road making deliveries. wanna talk about hot 118% in there today, w/no air movement. thats why it takes me so long to make deliveries:rofl:

GP99GT 08-01-2006 03:12 PM

the thermometer here said 102 degrees, in the shade

deadtrend1 08-01-2006 03:42 PM

Teds89IROC 08-01-2006 05:40 PM

i was outside all day and i loved it :)
i am a much bigger fan of cold than hot, but i hate recycled inside air the most. besides, i could use sweating off a few dozen pounds. :p

I made a kamakazi run into NYC for a suprise lunch with the GF. I don't think I have sweated that bad once this summer. My shirt was stuck to my back when I finally got out of my car!

JL8Jeff 08-02-2006 07:25 AM

Played volleyball from 6:15 to 8:30 yesterday. Lots of sweat and lots of sand sticking to the sweat! It wouldn't have been too bad if there was just a little breeze blowing but there wasn't. I plan on doing nothing after work today but I have a bad feeling I'll be working on the SS396 because I just can't sit around unless I have a cigar and a beer and another beer and another beer...

In your heat induced delirium Jeff, don't grab the sawzall when you really need a screw driver. The right tool for the right job!

maroman88 08-02-2006 12:19 PM
