trans wont go into reverse
 

its not on my fbod...its on my 94 5spd accord beater...the car wont go into reverse..the trans connects to the shifter with cables..the car has a lot of miles (175000) but it runs great..i could get a new tranny for around 300 its just a pain to pull it...im going to check the cables but does anyone have any ideas..

if the shifter goes through all the gears and you can feel the rest of the gears select i woudl say either a cable is out of adjustment or the fork for reverse is f'ed somehow.
