Feeling the need to go to AC.....

....that's how lucky I am.

Somehow, I have gone over 7 years without ever getting any points on my license, and I keep saying that is going to catch up to me at some point. It almost did tonight.

I managed to get pulled over on the way home from the trucks tonight. This wouldn't be a huge deal, since my license is clean, and I'm always polite to officers, but.....my registration is expired, and of course, the car is also due for inspection. So that + 80 in a 65 = I think I'm getting at least one ticket, if not a few.

Cop walks back to the window with no ticket. I am confused. He says that he saw the most recent time I was pulled over for speeding in the computer (which was on the way to the Nats), and that I was obviously not getting the message. He said he could write me for 15 over ($270 + 4 points) plus have the car impounded, since it wasn't registered.

He decided to let me go, unharmed, and tell me that he was gonna check on my registration tomorrow night, same time, to make sure that everything was up to date. If not, he was gonna write me for speeding and mail the ticket.

Needless to say, I came home and hit up the DMV's website, only to find that it is down for maintenence :banghead: Oh well, I'll keep trying, and if I must, I'll just run up to DMV on a late lunch tomorrow and take care of it then.

I really have to stop being such a slacker......

Hopefully you'll miss out on that ticket..... Congrats on 7 years no points, i'm gettin there with 4 years no points and have been pulled over only twice with the bird minor infractions (6 months past due inspection sticker LOL), never speeding yay!

I previously got away with getting pulled over with a 14 month overdue inspection sticker....in Pennington. It's only 2 months overdue now though....

Slackers! I haven't gotten a ticket since 93 or 94(I can't remember which year it was, it was too long ago)! And that was before they raised the speed limit to 65 mph. So why were you doing 80 in a 65 at night?

I wasn't....but I wasn't in any position to argue. Never let the speedo cross 75 once I was on 95, and that's where he said I was doing 80. But I'm assuming that was just an estimate from pacing me, since he said he got behind me on Rt. 1. It was an undercover lawrence cop, not sure what car he was driving, but it sure as hell wasn't a crown vic.

Online registration system for the DMV came back up this morning, registration has now been renewed. :D

Online Reg is the way to go. You can do it months in advance. My Olds is up in November, just go the card in the mail last week.

That sucks they know when you were pulled over last.

That's what I was thinking too! But the 4Runner isn't capable of speeding so I might be safe as long as I don't drive the SS. :?

I always do...

the thing i don't think most of you understand is how often justin gets pulled over. it is such a common event that he literally loses track of where he got pulled over last.
