ABS

hey i got a question is it possable to add ABS to the 3rd gen that does not have ABS. or is it not worth it. such as take like a 4th Gen parts such as rear, the computer whatever wires, etc and put it into a 3rd gen

Thanks

If that was the plan, you would have to find some way of sensing wheel speed for the front.. The fourth gen spindles will not work on your car..

I read a few articles on retrofitting ABS, and all led to the same conclusion - it is not worth it.

You better have decent line making skills, some fabrication skills and electrical skills. And the ability to read/diagnose the computer on your own - because no sane tech in the world would touch that for you.

You would be far better off doing 'regular' brake upgrades.

Personally, bonzo , I agree with you but it is up to him if it is worth it or not..

ya a few other ppl told me the same i just had the idea prob not going to do it becuz i would basicly have to redo my whole car and its not worth it thansk tho

It would be a real PITA but anything is possible. Personally I would go for a big brake kit before I tried something like that.

yea batman i agree, but i think i might do the big brake kit not now tho
