Opinion

Its kind of hard to do it now before the cars back, but i need some opinions on what wheels to get, ill got with 17's max for size and I am going to need a off set for the rear wheels because i have the fourth gen rear. Any opinions will help me out greatly and they must be chrome or highly polished, the price really doesnt bother me either. thanks in advance.

i assume this is for the 86. is it gonna be a dedicated drag car?

camaro2you 09-19-2006 06:07 PM

yes you are correct for the 86, its gonna be a all around car, strip, show, street im gonna end up putting drag radials on the back so basically i need a really nice street wheel.

ccw's are real nice street wheels

my 17s on my 84 are:
front:
17x8 w/ 4.5 backspacing

rear:
17x10 w/ 5.75 backspacing

i have a 285 tire in the rear and thats a decent size meat.

Is that a stock 10 bolt in there for a thirdgen?

Fikse builds their wheels to your specifications. You don't buy "off the shelf" wheels from them. Part of the reason why the price is so high. This is the sheet you have to fill out to order wheels from them:

If you can afford it, FM5s are a great looking wheel, and they are also quite light.

yep

Why not just get 4th Gen wheels all around, and run spacers in the front for the street, and when you go for the strip swap on some skinnies ment for the third gen?

camaro2you 09-25-2006 07:42 PM

not a fan of spacers. just not my cup of tea.
