160 Stat in the Winter?
I have a 160 Thermostat in my car right now and once I put my headers in I am going to send my computer out for a tune so I wanted to tune it for the 160.
The thing is I may have to drive my car in the winter, is it ok to run that thermostat in the winter? Or should I just put the stock thermostat in and tune it for that then when summer comes around again just put the 160 in and tune it for that then. Thanks. ,Nick |
its up to you really...your heater will generally take a bit longer to warm up and when it does warm up it wont be quite as hot as before the thermo. Personally when my 160 thermo failed i threw in a 180.

I use a 160 all year long as well. Like was already said twice though, I did notice the few extra minutes of warm up time it took.

I went with a BeCool 180, and the computer has been tuned for it. We'll see how that goes when it runs
