About time!
Well yesterday i went to get my car tuned on spray. My last tune was a mess and the guys at eastside re did it for free. I ended up makin 427 rwhp and 377 rwtq NA thast threw a 9inch and a N2o tune! :) On a 75 shot i made 498rwhp 488rwtq :) SO i am goin to bump that shot to 125 and well see what happens ;) Last night at island i finally hit 11's i went 12.2 @ 117 all night with a **** 1.9 60'. I usally pull 1.6-1.7. My tires are on there way out :( SO i had to hit 11's so i sprayed it but my window swithc is brokin and will only tunr on at 4500. So i went 11.8 and 121. This cam loves spray and the car felt really good! So i am hopein to get a new window switch this week so i can spray @ 3000rpm and bump the shot up. Hopefully next week well see low 11's. Its a full weight car to by the way :)

Nice!

awesome numbers, stock internals? if not why not bump the spray to 150 :)
|
yes stock internals for now. Over the winter that might change ;) But then i will bump it to 300 :) Or might go forced induction ;)

What was your full slip?
11.8 seems kinda slow for heads/cam + some spray....not knocking you or anything, I know it's a new setup. - Justin |

Cool beans.
Only a 2.0 short time with a 9", 4.10's, and slicks? Did it feel like it was spinning, or just not leaving hard enough? - Justin |
o yea my slip haha
60' 1.930 330 5.171 1/8 7.800 Mph 94.52 1000 10.036 1/4 11.802 Mph 121.97 like you said its a new set up and i sure can use some weight reduction ;) Maybe friday i will pull out the interior |

Ahh....well, play with the launch RPM and the air pressure, you'll get it sorted out.

glad to see they fixed that stuff for free for you...seems like it worked out well...im suprised you couldnt hit 11's NA with your setup though, even at full weight. Also if you planned on stepping to the 125 shot you really shouldve dynoed with it to see if your a/f is at least safe or did you?

you really should verify your a/f when going to different jets...also consider a happy knob or something similar to retard your timing. Nitrous can be rewarding but you really need to treat it & its part correctly and don't skimp cuz those low dollar parts are always the ones that will cost you a motor.

time to invest in a wideband...AEM & innovate make good inexpensive units with gauges.

Hey there's the power! ;) jk buddy nice job, can't wait to cam my car in the spring... how hard were your poly mounts to put in (you did them yourself, right?), I'm trying them this thanksgiving break.

personally, i would invest in something other than drag radials, if you have a 9 inch, pick up MT ET streets (NOT the radial kind), Hoosier Quick Time Pros or full out slicks.. any amount of time picked up in the 60' typically doubles in the quarter, if you can bring that 60' down a tenth or two, that should pick up .2-.4 up top. |

what do you mean by the top of 4th?...if your cam makes peak hp at say 6400 rpms you probably would want to trap @ 6500ish.
|
also remember bias ply's grow more then a radial would...so at the end of the track they might be a slightly taller tire then at the starting line.
