UPDATE on the 94z I sold and was owed $ on...

well a while back i posted about how a friend bought my 94 z28 and still owed me some money. he was out of work and not the easiest to get in touch with, so i left a note in his mailbox giving him till Oct 31st to pay or i had to take the car. he called me last week sayign he'd pay me the balance in 2 $300 payments. Well, the first payment was due yesterday and nothing.... but today he called me and said he got paid poorly at his new job this week and his truck is being repossessed and he has no money for insurance even... so he's giving me back the car. He's handing over the keys and title and everything. Monday i'll deal with getting it back to my place. And he said once i sell it, then i can pay him back what he had already paid me for it. I'm fine with that. I had a good feeling i could still count on this kid regardless of his situations in life, lol. I'm glad it all worked out and no hard feelings and no legal issues were needed. anyways, now i gotta decide what to do with the car...sell whole, part it, or have the frame fixed and keep it for myself....opinions? lol

Good deal.

Is it worth parting it out?

Knipps 10-29-2006 12:06 AM

do you really feel like making the BIG LIST any bigger?

maroman88 10-29-2006 12:10 AM

FIX IT!! lol it looks supper nice in the pics and it'll make a nice DD when u sell that Denali

V 10-29-2006 12:39 AM

here are pics of it.... 150k miles, built trans, lingenfelter TB, catback.
The interior is MINT, no power options! a stripper Z28.
the last pic is of the frame damage... the car IS driveable once a quick alignment is done though.

if i was you id patch it and keep it for yourself.... its a good dd for you knowing you can drive it if you try to sell it whole a lot of people wont buy it cuz of frame damage even if it is cheap as hell

unstable bob gable 10-29-2006 12:46 AM

That Camaro is a nice shade of blue...:)

Knipps 10-29-2006 01:45 AM

i like...
wanna trade?

Savage_Messiah 10-29-2006 04:41 AM

if you part it you know i need parts :P

WayFast84 10-29-2006 06:25 AM

KEEEP IT!!! i never realised it was quasar blue!!

1QWIKBIRD 10-29-2006 06:27 AM

what ever you decided, there is no way I'd be giving back full price to the kid, no matter how nice he was. Your time and aggravation are worth something, plus now you have to relist, resell or dismantle and part out the car??? He'd be really lucky to get anything back from me.....I look at it like this, if the car was repo'd would GM or the dealer or whoever be giving back any payments he made??? I doubt it.

How seriouse is the frame damage, from the picture it's tough to tell? Is a seam split from sliding over something?? or was the car hit pretty hard?? Either way, a stripper z-28 like that with a solid roof would likely bring a lot of attention from the auto-cross/scca solo crowd over on www.frrax.com, guys love those kinda stripper cars for class racing, so maybe try listing it over there as well. I just noticed its an automatic...ooops...not as attractive all of the sudden...sorry

Good luck
Chris

What would you ask for it?

SamhainZ28 10-29-2006 12:39 PM

hit me up, i got cash and ill take it ASAP, let me know!

V 10-29-2006 01:51 PM

i need 1800 for it. i dont really wanna keep it myself, too many cars already. but if i cant get 1800, its getting cut up since its easily worth around 3.5k in parts.

z28c4maro82z 10-31-2006 05:02 PM

I was going to say if you went 1100 I might be interested, but guess not. Good luck bud

oh one ls1 SS 11-01-2006 03:33 AM

how much would it cost to fix?

i had a 94 in that color and miss her :*(

Teds89IROC 11-01-2006 11:13 AM

I'd say keep it, I love the color lol

Savage_Messiah 11-01-2006 11:35 AM

it's basically retarted for paul to keep it due to the number of vehicles he has already

dan 11-01-2006 12:07 PM

i'd find a way to snatch that if it wasn't auto..but it is a great lookin car..u shouldnt cut her up..

Tsar 11-01-2006 12:19 PM

let me know when u cut it up, i might get some parts if im not broke again.

Savage_Messiah 11-01-2006 12:42 PM

true, its an ugly box

ar0ck 11-01-2006 12:42 PM

If paul decides to sell that car as it is, I will defenitly vouche for its condition. Last time I was at his house I was able to check it all out, and it was in AMAZING condition, especially the interior. No matter what he decides to do, it would be an excellent buy.

Savage_Messiah 11-01-2006 12:43 PM

the frame damage aint **** IMO
