More candy for me!
I guess I've managed to scare off all the kinds in the neighborhood. We had no trick or treaters last night so the candy is all mine! Our house is out near the end of the development so it's not that surprising, but I was outside raking leaves up until 7 and I still only heard 1 or 2 kids. Is Halloween slowly fading away or are parents so paranoid they won't let their kids out?

i dont think so jeff. with access to the interweb i think people have been gettnig a lot crazier ideas and actually have access on ways to persue them. the chances are so slim of something like that happening, but then again i wouldnt want my kids out for other reasons anyways. such as speeders, other kids, etc...

There were tons of kids out in my neighborhood, but still not as many as there used to be.

Probably had the same amount come by my house. I did notice that there were far fewer teenagers this year, and a lot more >5 come to our door. Must be more younger families moved nearby in the last year.
Growing up, I recall being out near 9pm going house to house. The last few years, people stopped coming by around 7:30pm, even when it is on weekends. I think more parents are going to the malls or other indoor places for their rounds, instead of the houses in the neighborhood. Paranoia indeed. |
I live on the main road in my town, and it was unusually quiet.

apartment complexs ftw
i know my little brother does my street then just hits them up |
i was surprised of all the kids that showed up. most of them were young tots and just a few teenagers. by the end of the night i had 4 bars of candy left. so i ate them:mrgreen: and not 1 kid past 7 pm i remember being out till at least 9. curfews i guess

our doorbell was broken until about 5pm... then i overheard some kids outside sayign they tried and no one was home, so i checked it... and fixed it.

weve never really had alot of kids by us and i live on a major road in vineland!

it seem central jersey has the most active trick or treating population...
...must have something to do with all the crank/coke heads begging there normally... |
it was our first halloween in the new house so we had no idea what to expect. I bought 2 30 packs of the full size assorted candy kit kat, snickers, reeses etc and 2 bags of nerds / sweet tarts.
Total kids that came to the house 15. :) YUMMY YUMMY i'm eating that candy as I type. :) |
